Experience the peace and tranquility of the Jersey Shore this winter capturing the season through your camera lens with our  photography director/Instructor Michael S. Miller while relaxing at the  Atlantic View Inn.

Your digital SLR camera offers endless creative opportunities.  Whether you recently acquired a SLR or have owned one for years, this weekend is designed to enhance your knowledge and develop your skills using your camera to its fullest potential.  You will be empowered to take your camera off automatic and unleash your creative potential. 

Michael will guide you through  aperture, shutter speeds, ISO, raw files vs. JPEG, composition techniques, lens selection and more in both indoor and outdoor sessions.  You will have the opportunity to discuss your cameras potential before heading out with your newly acquired knowledge capturing images.  Time will be spent critiquing images and discussing how to continue your journey of creative exploration . . .

  • Friday late afternoon (5:00) wine and cheese welcome reception and introduction
  • Saturday morning indoor session learning camera functions and menus
  • Saturday afternoon wander on the boardwalk and beaches capturing images with Michael
  • Sunday mid-morning review and critique of images captured

What do you need to bring equipment wise?

  • Digital SLR camera with fully charged battery
  • Extra set of batteries and charger
  • Manual for camera
  • Camera lens(es)
  • Power adapters and cables for camera
  • Minimum of 4GB digital memory card
  • Tri-pod (recommended)
  • Laptop with editing software (recommended)

Cancellation Policy

If you do need to cancel please notify us a minimum of ten days prior to the start date of your workshop to guarantee a full refund of your workshop fee less processing fees.

If you cancel less then ten days prior to the start date of your program we will refund you 75% of the workshop fee less processing fees.
