Your journey of creative exploration into Acadia National Park. . .

Maine’s Mount Desert Island is home to the first national park east of the Mississippi River - Acadia National Park.    Photographers have been drawn to the rugged coast, beauty and diversity of Acadia since before establishment as a national park in 1919.  Originally created as Lafayette National Park, it was renamed Acadia in 1929.

Michael will guide you through this four-day photography exploration. You will capture sunrise and sunset from the summit of Cadillac Mountain the tallest mountain(1,532 feet) on the U.S. Atlantic Coast.  Enjoy a late afternoon at Jordan Pond capturing the reflections of North and South Bubble before relaxing at the Jordon Pond House with tea and their famous baked popovers.  Spend time at Sand Beach nestled in a small inlet between the granite mountains and rocky shores.

The Atlantic Oceanside Inn rooms are reasonably priced and include continental breakfast, indoor and outdoor pool right in the heart of Bar Harbor.  For more information visit their website @ www.barharbormainehotel.com.  Rooms will be held only until July 10th.

You continue your journey of creative exploration, with the refining, optimization and printing workshop, October 18-20 at VPW's home studio.  This workshop will allow you time to devote specifically to explore optimization of your images to their fullest.  You will explore a wide variety of editing techniques with Michael’s guidance and walk away with a final pigmented archival print of your own.
