Wander through the Conservatory where everyday is spring time for the Longwood Gardens Orchid Extravaganza. Explore the magical world of orchids where thousands of colorful blooms drape from walls, flow from baskets, and form captivating archways in artful displays. The Orchids are displayed throughout the beautiful four- acre Conservatory where every day is a spring day.
You will wander the magical worlds of the Orchards Extravaganza with Michael’s guidance and experience to capture these dazzling flowers. After a pay your own lunch at The Café you can wander back to the Conservatory to capture more images or head outdoors to the Idea Garden where everyday there is something new to photograph.
Required Equipment:
Digital SLR Camera
Tripod
Remote Shutter Release Cable
Recommended Equipment:
An external flash unit with remote capabilities (cable or wireless)
Any lens will work, a macro or 70mm or above
The workshop runs from 9:00am-3:00pm, the drive time is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. The day begins meeting Michael at the Belmar Train Station Parking Lot at 6:45am where you will be driven to Longwood Gardens and return by approximately 5:30pm.
One 10 1/2 hour session
$215 includes round trip transportation and entry fees.
