  1. What photographic experience should I have?
    Anyone will find our workshops to be a great learning experience. Our participants vary from beginners to advanced amateur. You should, however, be familiar with your equipment and its basic operation, unless otherwise specified.

    For those who want to take their photography to the next level and have a great time doing it, Visions Photographic Workshops, (VPW) is more than a workshop; it’s an incredibly rewarding journey of creative exploration.

  2. How do I register?
    Submit your completed registration form with payment to:

    Full payment is required at the time of registration, unless other specified.

    A 5% discounts is offered to those paying in full with check or money order.

    We encourage you to register early since enrollment is limited to six participants for most workshops.

  3. What happens if I need to cancel?
    Please refer to specific workshops as cancellation policies vary.

  4. Does Visions Photographic Workshops ever cancel?
    In the event that a workshop must be cancelled due to inadequate enrollment, you are refunded in full or may be transferred to another workshop within 12 months. 

    EECG is not responsible for reimbursement of any personal fees you have incurred (airline tickets, car rentals, etc.)  Please check on your workshop status prior to making any travel arrangements (where applicable)

  5. Should I have travel insurance?
    Travel insurance is always a good idea, especially when flying, however the choice is yours.

  6. Who is responsible for lodging?
    That depends on the VPW that you chose.  See specific workshops. 

  7. Am I responsible for transportation?
    Yes.  All participants are required to provide their own transportation to and during the VPW.   We encourage carpooling for several reasons.  It is better for the environment, there will be fewer vehicles at the workshop location and it gives you a chance to get to know your fellow photographers better.

  8. Am I responsible for my own meals?
    Yes.  Unless otherwise specified, participants are responsible for all of their own meals.

  9. Do I need to be in good physical condition?
    Most of our locations are within easy walking distance of the vehicles unless otherwise specified.

  10. How much “hands-on” help will I get in the field?
    To maximize your time with us, group size will seldom exceeds six participants.  Our highly qualified team will be out there with you; however they haven’t mastered the art of mind reading.  So, if you need or want more help, just ask!

  11. How much time will be spent reviewing and critiquing?
    That depends on the VPW that you register for?  During our time in the field there is ongoing review and a continual discussion of various situations and questions that arise while in the field.

  12. Are there discussions of Photoshop and other image processing techniques?
    This depends on the VPW that you register for.  However our team is always willing to discuss different techniques used in Photoshop and other image processing programs. While these sessions do not go into depth as in a more formal workshop setting, everyone gains more insight into the basics of these tools and programs and their application. 

  13. What camera equipment should I bring? 
    Basic required equipment is listed below.  However please refer to the VPW you are interested in for more specifics.

    • Digital SLR and lens(es) or an advanced digital point and shoot camera
    • Minimum 4 GB of digital memory cards
    • Manuals for camera, flash, etc.
    • Batteries fully charged and extras
    • Tri-pod
