Ansel Adams and Georgia O’Keeffe first met in New Mexico in 1929 and maintained a lifelong friendship based on a reverence for the natural world. Share the beauty and diversity of the high desert, rugged mountains and historic villages with Michael & Beverly as they share their passion for natures landscapes, architectural history and creativity on Visions of northern New Mexico.

This exploration is not just about the camera, time will be spent together engaged in conversations inspiring one another, creating lasting memories and life long friendships while engaging in your passion for photography! Discussions on how to visualize what is in your minds eye, how to capture mindful and expressive images, raising your awareness and sparking creativity.


Our Ghost Ranch accommodations are at the Casa de Sol a charming, historic hacienda built in the 1930’s. It is situated under the Puerto de Ceila rock formation, with a spacious courtyard looking out onto the desert and Pedernal,Ghost Ranch’s landmark mountain.

Every where you look is another grand vista. The Casa de Sol offers an intimate, group setting with a fireplace, kitchen, single and shared rooms shared baths, simple living space surrounded by inspired landscapes.

Services are limited at the Ghost Ranch. Meals that included are at the dining hall – 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners. Meals are cafeteria style with indoor or outdoor dining. Vegetarian entrees are available, as well as a salad bar at both lunch and dinner.

We will have a pay your own dinner at a local Inn on Saturday evening. You are welcome to bring whatever food and drinks to Casa de Sol.

Our accommodations in Santa Fe is a three star hotel, located in historic Santa Fe. Our time in Santa Fe will include enjoying and creating photographs of the historic plaza. Santa Fe has amazing galleries to explore, we will enjoy the Georgia O’Keefe Museum together. Restaurants are abundant and within walking distance of our hotel in Santa Fe.

A day will be spent on the High Road to Taos. This drive is one of the most scenic routes running through the American southwest, connecting Santa Fe with Taos. The road was built in 1975 and has been designated an official Scenic Byway by the state of New Mexico. We will be stopping along the way at points of interest including the pilgrimage site of Chimayo, the adobe houses of Truchas, the Carson National Forest, the 18th-century Spanish colonial church in Las Trampas, and the 18th-century San Francisco de Asis Mission Church in Ranchos de Taos.


As always this exploration is designed for an intimate group to allow Michael quality time with all the photographers. Accommodations on this exploration allow for a total of six photographers, with four non-photographer guest.
