On the first day, of this two day workshop, photographers will take an excursion, with a comfortable chauffer driven ride from Visions Photographic Workshops’ home studio to Grand Central Terminal, New York City.
Opening in February 1913, Grand Central Terminal is one of the country’s greatest architectural monuments and helped create Midtown Manhattan. Learn how to capture this landmark building’s many unique features, including the 750,000 people who walk to and through the hallways each day. This is one of New York City’s greatest public spaces, making it an iconic location. We will explore Vanderbilt Hall, the Main Concourse, Grand Central Market, Lexington Passage and more, all of these locations providing a great opportunity for street and architectural photography.
Michael will work with you on exposures, composition, and creativity. This photo day tour is designed not only to guide you to the most photogenic locations carefully planned for the best light, but to aid you in mentally visualizing a scene before capturing the decisive moment. Our aim is to raise your awareness and spark your creativity so that you not only go home with images to be proud of, but use your new found skills to improve and expand your photographic technique in general.
Bring your tripods as we have special permits for our photographers to use them for the day! Enjoy lunch at one of the 35 dining options sure to suit everyones tastes. The historic Grand Central Oyster Bar serving New York City’s freshest oysters and seafood for over 100 years. Then kick back, relax and continue the conversation on the chauffer driven ride home.
On Saturday, February 10, there will be a 3-hour share and critique your images from this unique adventure. at the Visions home studio in Avon-By-The-Sea. 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
