Meet other photographers that have the same passion and are interested in learning about street photography. And what better place than the revitalized boardwalk and Cookman Avenue. The historic architecture, eclectic restaurants, breathtaking views and the restored Paramount Theatre and Convention Hall are all magnetics for a unique and diverse group of people that make for remarkable street photography.
The experience begins at Heaven Art and Antique’s upstairs gallery with presentations and discussions led by Michael S. and Beverly R. Miller on the principles of street photography and creating visually exciting images and capturing the “decisive moment”.
You will spend time on the streets and boardwalk observing and photographing the ever-changing intricacies and ironies of people and their surroundings. Slow down, anticipate and be in the moment.
Some of the topics covered and examples shared will include:
- How to apply the best settings to your camera
- How to compose and frame on the street
- How to push yourself out of your comfort zone
- How to blend in with the street
- How to hone your awareness skills
- How to anticipate and capture “Decisive Moments”
The follow-up discussions are the most important part of the creative learning process for all levels of photographers.This is an assignment driven workshop. Once you have completed an assignments you will head back to Heaven Gallery for discussion, review and feedback on the assignment before the next assignment is provided.
