Many of use are familiar with Georgia O’keeffe for her paintings from the stark New Mexican landscapes to abstract New York cityscapes. Flowers and plants were subjects that engaged O’Keeffe through her career. This landmark exhibition will offer a rare focus on 20 of O’Keeffe’s depictions of Hawai’i created during a nine-week sojourn commissioned by the Hawaiian Pineapple Company.
The highlights of this extraordinary display include 15 of O’Keeffe’s Hawai’i paintings not seen together in New York since their debut in1940.
